Twilight

Twilight is a book belonging in serveral genres ( I can't decide!). They are Romance, Fantasy and Action. It is written by Stephanie Meyer and it comes in a squel. This is the 1st book.

It is all about a 17-year-old girl called Isabella Swan but she prefers to be called Bella. She moved from Phoenix to Forks because of her family split- her parents got divorced and her mum's going to travel around with her new partner- Phil, a ball player. She goes to a school and makes friends real quickly. She finds a group of people who are a bit eerie. Unusual- they look different but seem very similar with each other. They are real pale and Bella says that they are gorgeous- especially the blond haired girl and the boy with golden-ish eyes. She can't stop thinking about them- especially the beautiful boy ever since he saved her from getting squashed- he appeared out of thin air and held back two cars with his bare hands!!!) At first, she semed to detest him but she becomes very close with the gorgeous boy (Edward Cullen) and ends up falling in love with him (so does he). She has theories about what he is. A boy bitten by a spider? A radioactive person? NO- she figures out later that he is the "bad guy"- a Vampire. He has been 17 for almost a century- alone- partnerless. They become obessed with eachother. Edward and Bella both know that if Edward loses his control, his dark side could overtake him and might end up injuring (or killing) Bella. He doesn't like to be a monster. Well, one day, Bella goes to Edwards house and some people come and want to play baseball with them. Alice knows that they are after Bella- the human. They were probably thristy for blood. Here begins the chase. Bella needs to evacuate from Forks as quickly as possible. The leader tricks Bella into thinking that he has her mother and she is in danger. Bella falls for the trick and gets attacked. Edward saves her and she survives.

This book has a great plot - it goes together soo well like a jigsaw puzzle. It is very imaginative- the fact that there are also good vampires among them. When I hear vampires, I think dark arts and evil - basically nightmarish stuff. Anyway, the book can hook people easily and like what my friends who reccommended this book said, i got tempted to skip pages - but careful not to, just incase I left out important parts. The book is a mixture of different genres and it makes it more interesting. I also like the fact that the story is simple. Bella Loves Edward, but he is dangerous but he still tries to protect her no matter what because he loves her. I guess this will stay the overall story throughout the series.
